Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) said... "Art does not evolve by itself,  the ideas of people change and with them their mode of expression."

Mark Rothko (1903-1970) said... "A picture lives by companionship,  expanding and quickening in the eyes of the sensitive observer."

These paintings are a collection of glimpses,  that give expression to the glamorous excitement and extravagant publicity we are continually exposed to,  and in which we are encouraged participate.

We analyse and react to what our senses describe for us,  and for me these works are a translation through painted layers of colour and  texture.

The viewer can choose to interpret both the emotion and belief,  communicated through the passion of painting.
